About Movie :- The story is pretty predictable for anyone who has seen trailer or maybe read the synopsis but the intensity of the execution really surprised me during a way i used to be not expecting. After Logan and Skull Island this is often third movie within the row that I even have seen which wasn't shy to explore a more violent and bloody approach to the topic . Daniel Espinosa applied some interesting camera movements within the zero-gravity atmosphere which gave a more immersing sense for the audience. At now it's safe to mention that those that want the grave themes of Arrival or the joviality of The Martian would could be disappointed as this movie is more inclined towards the horror and therefore the frantic action sequences instead of contemplating about the meaning of life, as its title may suggest.
There is a catch about the choices the characters take which could be considered dumb (and to top it all, they're alleged to be astronauts) and just about out-of-sync with what NASA might neutralize this example but a counter argument is that if these characters don't take questionable decisions we'd never have a horror movie (six people attend places where they're not meant to travel and do stuff that nobody with a mean intelligence would do).
The actors are on top of their game with all six actors chipping the proper amount of dread which one might feel in these situations. the first scenes where the alien (Calvin) is shown to grow and answer different hit and trial experiments is fun and curious to observe . Most of the smart action takes within the early half the movie especially with a twist that came out of nowhere (Remember Game of thrones, Season 1 surprise) .The design of Calvin seemed like a herb which had mated with a not-so-friendly octopus-starfish. Calvin is all muscle, all brain and every one eye as described by one character. it had been clear to us at that moment only, Calvin isn't to be taken lightly. But, the astronauts fed him trying different approaches and therefore the result was a growth of exponential level which might bring the entire ISS down, unsurprisingly.
The movie’s final scenes are interesting with a pleasant little twist which could propel the manufacturers towards a sequel, depending upon box office results. Life tries to be an amalgamation of Sci-fi and horror and while it’s not a philosophical sequel to Alien, as a horror it's a sure watch.
